Each year, thousands of trout are raised from eggs at the Bobby Setzer State Fish Hatchery and then released into the Little River in DuPont State Recreational Forest.  Sounds simple, but it is a complex process that requires skilled staff with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, coordination with members of the NC Forest Service, and assistance with a team of volunteers from Trout Unlimited.

Meet the folks who oversee the process from eggs in a hatchery to fish in a river at a presentation on Wednesday, March 28 at 10:30 am in the classroom on the lower level of the Visitor Center by the High Falls Parking lot.

This event is limited to 22 Friends of DuPont members.  Also note the Demonstration Event scheduled for April 6.
