Although not as emotionally rewarding as watching Born Free, it is a thrilling experience to watch as a team of volunteers from Trout Unlimited releases thousands of trout at selected sites along the Little River in DuPont State Recreational Forest.
If you would like to experience this process please join us at the Hooker Falls parking lot around 10:00 am on Friday, April 6. Wear sturdy shoes for a short walk down river to the release site. There is no formal presentation or leader for this event – you can stand on shore and watch or grab a bucket of fish and get your feet wet. For those who don’t want to get their feet wet, there is a great view from the pedestrian bridge over the Little River above Hooker Falls. This event is open to the public and may be rescheduled due to weather or other issues.
