Registration is closed

Weather:  It is likely we will be able to get our trail work in before the afternoon thunderstorms roll in.   However, check your email at 6pm on Friday.   If cancellation due to bad weather is necessary, it will be sent out by then.   

Assembly Location: Fawn Lake Access Area

Assembly Time:  8:45AM

Work Location: Turkey Knob Trail (single track)

We will carpool in and park along Pinnacle Mtn Rd. where it intersects with Turkey Knob Trail.   Carpooling is required because of the limited parking on Pinnacle Mtn Rd. 

 Work Type: Rebuilding/cleaning drains, repairing erosion and clearing corridor.   We will be working on the next segment of trail which is up the trail from where the Trail Crew worked on 5/14/2022. 

Tools:  Will be provided but don't hesitate to bring your favorite shovel, Pulaski  or Rogue hoe.  

Safety Equipment:  Bring water.  Wear heavy boots and work gloves.   Safety glasses required, and provided, for corridor clearing. 

Physical requirements:  Must be able to:

  • Hike 2 miles with ~150 feet of ascent and ~150 feet of descent while carrying a 5 lb trail tool
  • Lift at least 20 lbs
  • Either: loosen and move large quantities of dirt OR cut and move small trees (3" diameter)

Experience: No experience necessary.

Waivers:  Each trail crew member will be required to sign a liability waiver to participate.
