See the night sky and the wonders it has to offer from Guion Farm!
This Member's Only event is focused on enjoying out-of-this-world views from right here in DuPont. Participants will be taken on a tour of the constellations and get to view the best sights of the Spring night sky.
Please dress warmer than you may think you need for this event. Bring a headlamp, water, and all of your questions about space! Camp chairs/blankets may be used for the stargazing portion of the event. Attendees are welcome to bring their own telescopes, binoculars, and other astronomy instruments, as they are a welcome addition to the program!
This event is not recommended for younger children due to the time of night and nature of the program. We will meet at the Guion Farm parking lot and then proceed to the open field once everyone has arrived. Please bring no four-footed friends!
Your hosts will be Shannon Mann and Tommy Wilkinson from the Astronomy Club of Asheville.
If weather is forecast to be inclement on Friday, attendees will be notified by email by 9PM the night before. If so, Saturday April 6 will be the planned reschedule date.
